Is Swinging Mainstream?

For quite some time my wife and I have been discussing the phenomenon of swinging and it's slow but steady increase into the mainstream.  As writers of Erotic Romances, we've always enjoyed the thought of introduction of pure pleasure into a romantic, erotic situation.  And probably the most intriguing aspect is the thought that it is 'taboo' to do so.  But if it becomes commonplace, how will it affect our writing?

My wife, Laura Cooper, loves the daring, location type style lovemaking, but her preference is that it all be done within the confines of a relationship.  Monogamy is her understated underlying theme, although we've both written more physically concentrated scenes.

For me, I love the separation of physical love and emotional love, keeping the wild uninhibited multiple partner aspect in a scene in which I want my readers to immerse themselves in.

Found an interesting poll on debate.org about this issue.

Reaffirm My Faith In Women

There is very little about women that I don't like.  First, they're considerably cleaner than us men, and that's really because they understand the fine art of paying attention.  Me, I feel like my attention span is rather somewhat like that of Ronald Weasly's emotional range:  about the depth of a teaspoon.  But then there's the ability to actually see beauty in just about anything, and thank God that anything covers us men.  And last, but certainly not least, the soft curve of a woman's body, the warmth of her flesh under my fingertips, the hardness of only certain parts that fit perfectly in my mouth.

What was I writing about again???  Oh yeah, my reaffirmation of my faith in women.

Probably the only thing I don't care for is the guarded nature of most women, as if their sitting on some golden, long sought after clue to the meaning of life.  And in their efforts to guard the fortress, they willfully bypass their own needs and desires to conform to some weird societal expectation that has long since dissipated.

And then I run across some erotic romance writers and their wonderful blogs, where they focus on something I can actually sink my teeth into.

Meet...  Chloe Thurlow.

I first read her short story FLIGHT 69
Extremely seductive, and erotic.  I'd give it 5 Hard Cocks if I had more than one.  Maybe I should give it one 5 times?

Anyway, I wanted to share her link where I find her viewpoints and writing inspirational, provocative, and just plain HOT!!!

You, Chloe Thurlow, reaffirm my faith in women!

Time to Reshape Erotica

I decided that I like what I write, but I need to appeal to more than just the male readers.  I want you all, ESPECIALLY the hot women out there to have erotica written more for you, and not the male dominated role.  Please bear with me as I attempt to focus more on the needs of beautiful women who still like it smoking HOT!!!

MY TURN:  A Hotwife's Fantasy

After twelve years of marriage, he still leaves her breathless.  And because of this, April makes it her mission to constantly surprise Stephen by fulfilling his fantasies. However, she's finally out of ideas when she turns to her best friend Lori.

Lori and her husband share a very open marriage, and she points out that maybe it's time April have one of her fantasies fulfilled.

Brief excerpt:

Stephen towered over her, bracing himself with his hands placed on either side of her head.  April loved this position above all others because his large muscular arms gave way to the broad shoulders that made her feel so small.   She turns her head slightly to the right, feeling the small thin hairs of his forearms brush against her upper lip.  Slowly she sinks her lips onto his skin, sucking and reveling in his taste.

The warmth and suction of her lips only serves to spur him on, and Stephen picks up the pace.  Deeper and deeper he drives into her, making sure she knows that she belongs to him.  At least that’s what April believes.

As his pace picks up, tiny beads of sweat form on his temples before running down his cheeks and dropping the short distance to her heaving breasts.  Each splash against her hard nipples only brings them closer.  Stephen thrusts a final time, holding himself securely in what he believes is the bottom of her depth as she loses herself in her third orgasm of the morning.  It shatters her world every time, confirming in her mind that there is only one man in the world that fits her so perfectly.

He begins his final approach.  Slow at first, then faster and faster, pushing her gentle love making desires into overdrive.  April wants to push her boundaries; she wants to be taken, used, and thoroughly fucked.  While quite competent as a lover, she wants to see the raw animal side of him that allows her to open herself up and let the slut in her out to play.  She’d do absolutely anything for him; she just wants him to man up take it.

Coming Soon!!!

Slightly to the left (or Downhill)

Posted about my wife, Laura Cooper.  See her blog here!

“Come here!” she exclaimed.  “Read this now!”

That’s how it always starts.  Not “hey, would you…” or “Baby, I need…”  No, no.  It’s right here, RIGHT now.

So that’s my mindset as I sat in front of Laura’s computer.  The great thing about that is where I find all the little things I was so convinced the Gremlins had taken off my desk.  Look, there’s my pen (which coincentally may be the only actual ink pen in my house since we have kids) and my ear buds, my ipod.  The list goes on and on.

So I sat there reading, carefully guarding my pen which I held in my lap and began to go through her post.  Yes, most of the stuff she writes is pretty spot on.  But this article (BDSM) was probably more than accurate.  But as I read, not for content, but for a single word.  Can anyone guess?  I suppose every author has a particular word they are in love with, and more often than not that word is overused or flat out wrongly used.  And Laura’s word:  strode.  The word alone just doesn’t sound right.  But you watch…  Every damn thing she’s ever written has had that word in it, and I’ve made it my life’s mission to seek it out and shoot it down.

But back to the the real reason I wrote this post.  How does she come up with ideas?  What is her particular slant?  SLANT!  That’s the word.  And now, my dear followers, I’ll pass on to you what I’ve only just discovered…

READY?  Her desk is … (wait for it)… slanted.

I just realized that her desk leans slightly to the left.  Okay, actually more than slightly.  My favorite pen won’t stay on it if you lay it down perpendicular to the screen.  And now, my dear readers, mystery solved.
